Zostavax® Side Effects
Zostavax® has been documented to sometimes cause the onset of shingles as well as Serious and sometimes Life-Threatening Side Effects
Zostavax® has been documented to sometimes cause the onset of shingles as well as other more serious side effects after vaccination.
Side effects include:
Encephalitis is an inflammation of the brain that can be life threatening. The most common symptoms are fever and headache but may also include confusion, difficulty moving and seizures.
Zostavax® and other vaccines have been linked to sensorineural hearing loss, also known as “nerve deafness.” This type of hearing loss includes both sensory loss in the inner ear and neural loss affecting the hearing nerve.
When the flow of blood carrying oxygen to the heart is severely reduced or completely cut off, it is called ischemia. If the ischemia causes damage or death to part of the heart muscle, it is called a myocardial infarction or heart attack.
Meningitis is an inflammation or swelling of the membranes that surround the brain and spinal cord typically caused by a bacterial or viral infection of the fluid surrounding the brain and spinal.
Organ infection can be a life-threatening condition. Symptoms of organ infection include but aren’t limited to pain in your back, side or groin as well as fever, chills, nausea and vomiting. Frequent and painful urination with dark, cloudy, bloody or foul smelling urine may also be symptoms.
Postherpetic neuralgia is a complication of shingles that causes burning pain after the rash and blisters have gone away. It usually happens in the area where the outbreak occurred; on one side of the body in a band around the trunk or on the face.
Skin infection due to Shingles
Symptoms of a skin infection may just be redness or a rash. More severe infections may include dark skin that becomes painful, blisters, pus or skin sloughing off.
A stroke is caused when blood flow to the brain is cut off and brain cells deprived of oxygen die. The abilities controlled by brain cells that die, such as speech and muscle control, are lost.
Not just a rockin’ tune by late-career Irish rockers U2, but a sometimes debilitating condition and the title of a 1958 Alfred Hitchcock movie starring Jimmy Stewart and a pre-Planet of the Apes Kim Novak.
Vertigo is condition where you feel as if you are spinning or off balance. This sensation can lead to nausea, vomiting, ringing in the ears or hearing loss, sweating, headaches, and jerking eye movements (nystagmus).
The active herpes virus in Zostavax® may cause inflammation in the eye condition that can lead to vision disturbances, redness, and floaters. Left untreated, this condition may result in a detached retina and can cause blindness.
